Nipomo History

Nipomo – My Grandfather’s Boat

In the 1920’s through 1940 my Grandfather Neelands sailed a 54 foot sailboat. It was his pride and joy.

It was moored in Balboa Bay. On weekends he would leave Neelands Department Store in downtown Los Angeles and catch the Red Car Line to Balboa/Newport. My Dad would go with him. The women would already be at the beach house preparing food so dinner would be ready. They would sail on Sat and Sun and get back into the car and drive home late Sunday. (Remember – no freeways in that drive so the trip took about 3 to 3.5 hours.)

Since Nipomo was also so loved by my Dad – and he shared with me the gift and joy of photography – I named my company after the boat. Nipomo – which means the base of the mountain. It is a Californian Indian name.

The motto of the company is: At Nipomo Organizing Solutions we take you from the “base of the mountain” the bottom of the pile of paperwork and chaos, to the top – where you’re completely organized and ready to take on the world.

Unlike other professional home organizers, the Orange County professional organizers at Nipomo Organizing Solutions try to use the organizing materials that you have on hand before recommending the purchase of new containers.

Let us help you tackle your organizing needs painlessly with our professional Orange County organizer experience and resources! DON’T BE EMBARRASSED. TRUST ME – I HAVE SEEN IT ALL!
