Organizing For Later In Life: Tips for Orange County Home Organization

Pi Beta Phi South Coast Alumnae ClubNipomo Organizing had the honor of speaking at a lunch meeting of the Pi Beta Phi South Coast Alumnae Club! The topic they ask me to speak on was “What can I do with all my stuff at ages 50-90?”

They had all agreed that their children wouldn’t want a share of the accumulated clutter, memorabilia, and items collected throughout life. While everyone has those little things they pick up, often they go a long time without use, or often even thought. Trinkets and mementos are common, small novelties and old gifts tend to pile up. It can be hard to get rid of some things, but it can be good to go through those items that you no longer need nor use and get rid of some. It certainly helps with cutting down on cleaning!

It was a great research project for us and has produced our new little free brochure on “Tips of Decluttering for Retirement”.

This is a topic that a lot of people are faced with and sometimes they don’t want to burden their children with all the stuff they have. While it may mean a lot to you, maybe your children and relatives don’t share the memories or significance of what you have built up over your lifetime.

Nipomo Organizing would love to help you donate any items. Rather than throw away that clutter, see that it goes to a good home!

There has been a famous saying going around: “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Nipomo Organizing Solutions wants to help you pass along your unused clutter to people who want it and can use it. So if you drop us an email, we have a special promotion going on for 6 months:

For $100.00 we will deliver you three file boxes. You can fill them or put the items in a pile and we will pack them for you.
We will take them to the Salvation Army and mail you your tax receipt. We believe that this will be a good way to start you down the road in the right direction for decluttering and giving items away that aren’t used and can be treasures to others. There isn’t any hassle for you, you just need to pick what you don’t think you’ll use or need anymore!
